Over the years Shermoen & Jaksa Law Office comprises of Jerome W. Shermoen, Michael Jaksa, Jerrod Shermoen, Molly French, and Kimberly Literovich. While Jerome has now retired, the remaining three lawyers are fully able to serve you with honesty, integrity and tenacity. Together we are able to meet the many needs of the people. Our Qualified Attorneys
Our law firm consists of four experienced and professional lawyers as well as five support staff including:
Michael A. Jaksa – as a senior partner, Mike has been with Shermoen & Jaksa since 1981. He specializes in worker’s compensation including work related heart and lung conditions as well as asbestos related injuries and mesothelioma cases. Mike was born and raised in International Falls and has also represented hundreds of workers injured by asbestos in asbestos products liability and negligence actions.
Jerrod A. Shermoen – as a managing partner, Jerrod is an International Falls personal injury lawyer concentrating in auto accidents, no fault law cases, dog bites, dram shop laws as well as legal suits involving civil litigation, wrongful death, defective products and insurance law. He is a part of a number of professional associations including the Minnesota Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice.
Kimberly A. Literovich – as an associate, Kimberly joined Shermoen & Jaksa in 2007. Kimberly practices in real estate law including probate, wills, trusts and estate planning as well as small business and medical assistance planning.
Molly J. French – Molly was born and raised in International Falls. Before returning to northern Minnesota she clerked for the chief judge of the Minnesota Court of Appeals. Molly practices in family law, criminal defense, employment law, juvenile law and general litigation. She resided with her husband, Robert, in New Richmond, Wisconsin, before returning to International Falls to join the firm in September, 2009.
